Lateef's journey began as a graphic designer in 2012, even before he entered college. While pursuing a computer science degree, his passion for drawing, sketching, and mathematics remained a constant source of inspiration. After freelancing as a graphic designer for several years, he, along with his cousin, ventured into the world of startups. It was during this journey that Lateef made the transition from graphic design to product design, which presented a fresh and exciting challenge. In 2018, their startup welcomed a senior product designer who became his mentor, guiding him through the intricacies of product design. Since then, Lateef has embarked on a continuous path of self-improvement, collaborating with numerous startups and mentoring junior designers. He's also assumed leadership roles in both design and engineering teams. Lateef's professional experience has been diverse, spanning industries such as blockchain, fintech, SaaS, super apps, e-commerce, B2B, B2C, and D2C businesses that have scaled across Nigeria and Africa. Additionally, he's provided strategic consulting services to startups. Lateef's design style revolves around the principles of simplicity, accessibility, and usability.
